After our big family holiday this year, the time has come again for us to start looking for our 2018 holiday. However, with us usually opting for family-friendly all-inclusive resorts as the norm, maybe it is time we broadened our horizons and looked around for something a little different than what we are used to yet family friendly all the same.
Something I have always wanted to try out is a cruise. With more and more family-friendly cruises available, I don’t see why we shouldn’t all enjoy all the luxuries a cruise can afford us as well as see more than one place during our holiday! This is something I may have (OK totally have) spent a little time researching and pricing up, so it’s fair to say I have my cruise wish list in place should I manage to rally the troops and get them all on board (pun intended) with the idea!
Family Friendly Cruises
If we are talking family-friendly cruises, we can’t not mention the most family orientated cruise around can we! Like Disneyland but on water, you can sail the seas and take in not only all the sights and cultures of the fabulous destinations on the itinerary but also indulge in some Disney Magic along the way!
Bolsover Cruise Club
If you are looking for a family-friendly cruise, but are yet to decide on the destinations, Bolsover Cruise Club specialise in finding you the right cruise for your family. If you want to visit Spain or Hawaii. Germany or Orlando there is something for every family who decides that a cruise is a perfect holiday for them.
Cruising isn’t all about relaxing by the pool with a drink in hand or dining at the restaurant whilst taking in a show. These days cruise ships have so much more to offer. Including something for those who like a bit of adventure in their holidays. Scuba diving and rock climbing are amongst some of the activities you can find aboard some ships to really make sure you get the most out of your holiday.
Maybe you like to learn something new on your holidays or want to make sure the kids have a fun filled time? You can cruise with the best of them with liners providing entertainment for all ages and even supervised activities and child minding services should you require them. There is no reason you really can’t take your family cruising with you these days with the increasingly modern family-friendly cruise liners gracing the seas.
Things To Remember.
Check what is included in your package. Unlike all inclusive family holidays, drinks and gratuities don’t always come included in the price. With so many different cabins and levels to choose from, make sure to pick something suitable for your whole family. Do you mind being cooped up inside for the duration of your cruise or would your family appreciate a balcony for those times when staying in your room with a hint of the sea breeze is just what they need?
Check out the itinerary and destinations when you book. Does the cruise liner visit everywhere you would like to go? Also, make sure to check if you need to book your flights and any hotel stay prior to sailing or if they come included. Most travel companies offer the option to book this together or separately. So don’t forget to double check exactly what your price includes as it could be costly should you need to book extras to reach your chosen port or whilst aboard the ship.
I would love to know your top tips and cruise liners for family-friendly cruises!
