My Shake it Slim Review
Just a mere few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try out the much raved about Shake it Slim weight loss programme. Have you heard of it? If not let’s have a little look at it before my full Shake it Slim Review.
Containing 22 different vitamins and minerals and at only 204 calories per serving, Shake it Slim is a meal replacement shake which can substitute up to two energy restricted meals per day. Mixed with between 250 and 300ml of water consuming 1 per day will help maintain current weight whilst two will aid in weight loss. Shake it Slim comes in 3 different flavours, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.
My Shake it Slim Review.
I received the 7-day meal replacement starter pack.It comes with a shaker bottle, 5 chocolate sachets, 5 vanilla and 4 strawberry ones. This is enough for 2 a day for 7 days. It is pretty much the usual as far as weight loss shakes go. Substitute up to two meals a day. I decided to have them for breakfast and lunch. However you can choose to have them for whichever meal you choose as long as you have a third balanced meal a day.
How did I find it?
I will start with the taste. Absolutely freakin’ delicious! Seriously! Considering you only mix them with water and not milk they have a really creamy consistency. And do not taste like water and powder at all. First, obviously, I tried chocolate which is possibly the most chocolatey shake I have ever tried it had a bit of a nutty taste to it too I thought.
The vanilla literally tasted like vanilla ice cream and lastly the strawberry. I’m not a fan of strawberry flavoured anything. I was a bit hesitant about trying this flavour but I actually enjoyed it and trust me I was shocked about this too as I was geared to be like bleurgh I’m not drinking that.
So for flavour 10/10 from me. Also, it mixed really easily and quickly in the shaker unlike others I could mention. So no nasty powdery lumps to worry about either with this one. I also like that they come in foil packs to keep them fresher too, not great to open though with wet hands trust me!

Was it easy to stick to?
I’m not going to lie, for the first couple of days I honestly felt like I was starving to death. I was soooooo hungry. You NEED to make sure you drink plenty of water with this. I also recommend NOT abstaining from eating in between. A small, healthy snack will really help you stick to it easier. I was having fruit and in work a small side salad. Also if you follow my Instagram I was at the gym/classes a fair bit and I find that the more active I am the less hungry I am. I am the stereotypical boredom grazer.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Completely 100% the fact that they are so delicious to drink it puts a stop that whole ‘eugh, I only have a shake for my dinner’ scenario. For example, first thing in the morning I have the worst sweet tooth so the chocolate shake was perfect for that.
How much and where can you buy it?
So the pack I received is currently on sale for £18.99 from £25.99. In this, you get 14 shakes and your shaker bottle. This equates to around £3.71 per day. Hands up who regularly grabs a meal deal on their way to work? Tesco meal deal (just as it’s next door to my work) is £3 and you absolutely cannot get a meal deal with only 204 calories, no siree. Shake it Slim gives you 2 meals for an extra 71 pennies. Even less right now with it being on sale for a mere £2.71 per day. Upon a further
Upon a further noseying around on the site → Forza Supplements you can grab extra shake packs for £1.99 each or a 5-day refill bundle for £16.99 (£3.40 per day) or you can get a trial pack with the shaker for £9.99 with 3 sachets. In addition Shake it Slim is also available to buy at Boots and now Holland and Barrett, you know in case you run out and forget to get more in time.
Well, it actually helped me to lose inches. I am refraining from weighing myself as it was annoying me seeing the numbers go down on the tape measure and up on the scales. So I lost half an inch from my waist, chest and hips. My arms and thighs had a combined loss of just over 2 inches too! Can’t complain at that in a week, can you!
My clothes are really starting to fit better now. And my triple chin is now my double chin and selfies have been appearing all over the place. OK well instagram to show off my new results this month. Can I just reiterate that this meal replacement system was used in conjunction with my (killer) workouts. As in I think my friend/workout partner/hairdresser is actually trying to kill me!
So there you go, apologies for the dodgy pictures. I have no one at home to take them for me when Olivia is at school and when she is home she isn’t interested in taking them just being in them! Have you tried Shake it Slim before? How did you find it?
