Olivia's Outfits

Our Marmot Win

As you may know, I love a good competition. Over the years, little wins have helped me out loads, like the time I won £100 to spend on a boot online store, hello winter boots for free. Or the time I bagged myself £100 of love to shop vouchers about 6 weeks before Olivia’s birthday, result! Then there was the time I won a family holiday…..oh, sorry, I’m still waiting on that one. But………… last month it came good again, and a WEM popped up in my inbox to tell me I was the lucky recipient of about £1000 worth of clothing or equipment from a Marmot win. You know what I thought, don’t you, oh yes, new winter coats all-around baby!

I was allowed free reign to order whatever I wanted as long as it was within a budget, of course, and in stock. Oh man, it was such an amazing experience, shopping for free! Is there anything better? But me being me, I wanted to make sure I got the right products.

Ones that I could get as much wear out of as possible. And my first thought was that Olivia, my sister, and her eldest all needed new coats, so new coats we got. Mine and my sisters were £300 each, and the girls were £100 a pop! Never in my wildest dreams could I ever afford that amount of money on new coats. It’s safe to say these coats are such a big threat. I also bought running Capri’s for both myself and Olivia and tops to go with them. You know, just in case we decided to take up running or exercise any time soon, which is something we are trying to incorporate into our new lifestyles.

Our Marmot Win.

The coats turned up in a bright yellow (for them, not us). As yet, Olivia has been unwilling to wear it, but she will. When it’s cold and wet, she will love it. Hopefully, as much as she loves the removable fleece lining (age 11-12), which she has been literally living in, every. Single. Day.

She paired it with her new Capri’s in stone grey (age 11-12) and purple t-shirt (age 11-12). The coat and fleece fit great, but the clothes do come up a little small. I wish I had ordered the next size up 13-14. Her feet are her firm favourites. Her new look pumps bought last year for either birthday or Christmas. She insists they still fit her, but at size 2, I’m not so sure, seeing as she is just going to a size 4! I think this is her new favourite outfit already designated as her ‘gymnastics’ clothes as they are really comfy apparently.

It looks like our win was a big success! Phew, now to get her into the coat! If you had £1000 to spend at a store of your choice as we did with our Marmot win, what would you choose?

I am super super jealous of your competition win, if I won a shopping voucher I'd certainly try to spend it on me… but we know that'd never happen! Did I ever tell you I won a holiday?! haha Lovely clothes Olivia, all ready for the frost of winter with that jacket! Thank you for sharing #TT_Thursday

Oh wow, what an amazing win! Well done!! I am honestly not sure what I would spend that much money on. The sensible part of me would think clothes shop the silly part of my would think toy shop for my daughter!
