A Little Life Update: What’s Been Going On
Life has taken a somewhat busy turn in recent years, and it seems that this blog of mine—in fact, all my blogs—has been somewhat neglected. Since the onset of the pandemic, things have slowly changed for me. My blog isn’t my main focus, but it’s also something I still want to have to dip in and out of. Hence, it is still live, but there is very little activity around it.
The reality is I don’t really have much to talk about these days. I now write for a living, and older readers will know that this was always my aim. While I am happy to finally be doing what I set out to do when I started this blog over 10 years ago, writing for a living takes all the fun out of writing for fun.
What’s Going On?
Essentially, I have become a stay-at-home hermit who fosters dogs for Dogs Trust, and that is essentially it. This limited level of activity, along with working, means that I don’t have any inspiration to write any posts, viewpoints or anything. And honestly, I think it’s a shame because I spent so long building this blog up. But, in recent years, I haven’t engaged on my social media accounts, and I haven’t updated this blog. I am actually locked out of my X/Twitter account, so I can’t use that. It’s not what I want to do these days. If you want to find me on socials, I can be found sharing stories on my dog IG account, @onefrazzledfosterdog.

In other non-dog-related news, Olivia passed her A-Levels and is now about to embark on a hairdressing apprenticeship. She’s been working in a salon for a while now, and she’s due to start her course at the end of September, so that’s something to look forward to. I am pleased to be free of the school run, but I am still chained to the work drop-off and pick-up, too.
What Else?
Oh, I started a fitness programme with a no-nonsense Irish dude I found on Instagram (@rcroskeryfitness) and ended up losing just shy of 2 stone. I then got back into going to the gym. I’ve put a little bit back on, but I’m back into the swing of things. I am loving being fitter, stronger, and healthier while eating good food and not restricting myself too much. Hopefully, I can reach my weight loss and fitness goals before the end of the year.
It’s only going to be a short post as I really don’t know what to do today or if anyone still visits to read my old ramblings, but I’ll be honest: Even though this post will be just shy of 500 words, it’s been good to get writing for the blog again—not writing anything for SEO or anything else, simply writing for the sake of writing.
If you want to check out my other blogs, which could also do with some love, you can read posts at
There we go. This is what’s going on. It’s not much, nothing exciting, but it’s life anyway! Thanks for reading.
