Putting some ‘pep’ in my step

I have been feeling really under the weather lately.
Not ill just bleugh, you know what I mean, bloated, sluggish, not quite right.
And I know why.
A really bad diet!
Really bad!
Its a combination of things, lack of desire to stick to my diet, follow up post to come, need yes need to eat as much chocolate and junk as I can and not wanting to move off my sofa at all!
Complete and utter lazyness! No excuses nothing just me being lazy about everything.
After yesterdays trip to the doctors I felt things had to change again!
I am caught up in vicious bad eating cycles. I break them, feel good, look good, them bam! gone, over, and back comes processed food and junk and takeaways and so on.
I have possible health issues due to my diet and I really need to make sure I try to change certain aspects.
So today back on the Slim Fast (first time lasted 3 days complete fail!), and I decided to get some vitamins to help perk me up and help me feel healthier.
For a while now I have been debating getting the Berocca supplements in but they are a bit on the expensive side for me as I am very wary about spending a lot on things I haven’t tried before.
Today I picked up Wilkinsons own brand version Energy Release Effervescent. At £1.60 they are a
fraction of the price and pretty much had most of the same vitamins as the more expensive Berocca ones.

They kind of remind me a bit of those soluble paracetamol, tablets and I was worried they would taste the same.
I wan’t really too sure how much water to dissolve it into so tomorrow I think I will use a little less. Now I found it a bit powdery to drink so possibly not enough water maybe? But I think that as I wasn’t a fan of the orange flavour in general I will try it with less water tomorrow.
I am hoping that the effects are immediate but only time will tell and I will keep you updated as to how I get on.
I would love to know if you have tried anything similar or what would you recommend as an alternative to energy drinks?
Spread the love

  1. After a run I like to have Nuun which are also like tablets that dissolve in water, they taste great, have loads of flavours but are for rehydration.
