Olivia's Outfits

Olivia’s New Coat

I haven’t done an outfit post for Olivia for a while have I. She hasn’t really had many new clothes recently as at this time of year we tend to wait until her birthday and kill 2 birds with one stone. New clothes = extra birthday presents. One thing she did need though was a new coat. She had been wearing her thin raincoat from Next pretty much the whole winter and I finally gave up on trying to get her into the Marmot coat I won her. She loves the fleece insert just not the coat.

I found a lovely one on Very in the sale and the day I bought it there was an extra 24% off too making it only £12.54 Bargain or what! It turns out my sister had the same idea and bought my niece the same one so they are matching pretty much like they were last summer with their holiday outfits too. I got Olivia age 13-14 so she has room to grow and fits comfortably over jumpers/cardys too. It has pretty much become the go to coat now unless it is raining heavily then she picks another one as it’s not really waterproof.

The hood has a fur trim and both the trim and hood are completely detachable from the coat too. I love the houndstooth (is that the right pattern or am I way off base?) it adds some contrast and shape to the coat as does the belt around the waist. Also it doesn’t have a zip just press studs. I love it and actually want a similar one for myself too.

I think I might actually do a coat post soon for Olivia, she has so many jackets it would make a great outfit post, watch this space……………………. What do you look for in a winter coat? Where have you found the best places to buy them for Olivia’s age?

I am linking this post up to Weekend Tot Style (yes I know she’s not a tot) with ClearlyBex and This Mama Life, if you would like to join in.

Spread the love
