Earn Actual Real Money From Home

Can you really earn actual real money from home? That the position I found myself this year. Having had a drastic reduction in my incomings and still just as much going out as before, I found myself frantically Googling what must be one of the most common searched phrases ever! Chances are by doing this you will be met with a plethora of too good to be true schemes, most requiring some sort of financial outlay. If I am googling  ways to ‘earn actual real money from home’ chances are I do not have a spare few hundred ££££ lying around, a few spare hundred pennies would be closer to the truth.

The thing is I found countless ways, options and choices to top up my income and in truth none of them really guaranteed to make me rich over night but some of them did look like acceptable ways to add a little extra each month. But first I found myself having a little read of some other blogs with Oh So Amelia and From Aldi to Harrods being two of my favourite go to sites for hints, tips and advice on making and saving money. I thought I would start off easy and see how I got on after one month.

Free Daily Draws. I have been doing some of these for so long now. You just check in every day to see if it’s your lucky day and if it is send me some of your luck please! Free Postcode Lottery has many different draws daily with the main one a huge £200 daily, increasing each day it isn’t claimed. There is also a £50 draw over on Ashleigh Money Saver, the DOB Lotto site with a daily draw for £50 also there is the Numberplate lotto with a £10 daily draw and the Selfie Lottery

Surveys. Ok, so many years ago I used to actually do quite a few surveys on a daily basis but gave them up as they can take up a lot of time and I tend to screen out of them fairly quickly. I bit the bullet and joined some different ones with the hope of being a bit more successful this time. Don’t get me wrong, if you meet the right criteria you can actually make a fair bit doing this. So far from various sites I have cashed out £30. Some have higher cash out limits than others so take a bit longer to accrue but sites like Mint Vine have a cash out limit of 1000 points. In most cases it will take a couple of weeks for your points to clear but I have just cashed out my first £10! This is my current favourite survey site it is so easy to use and there are always surveys you can take. Another one I like is Prolific. What I like about this one is that you cannot screen out of their surveys you are only offered one if you are suitable meaning you are guaranteed to receive credit for every survey you do with them. Some other popular ones are instagc and swagbucks. Both of these sites have lots of different ways to earn cash with no limit to the points you can earn via surveys, watching videos, clicking links amongst others.

Mobile apps. At first I was a bit wary of having these on my phone but I installed a couple and have stuck with them. The first one was Mobile Expression. The app is suitable for a wide range of smartphones and basically hovers in the background monitoring what you do online with your phone. After having the app active for 1 week I received a bonus of 15 credits. This got me a £10 Amazon voucher, 20 credits would of got me a £20 voucher. After redeeming them I seem to be earning around 1 credit a week. A slow builder but essentially money for doing nothing. The other one is TV Smiles. This is a fun app I use when I am bored. There are so many ways to earn smiles from answering questions to having the app on when watching adverts, downloading apps to name a few. I totally recommend you err on the side of caution when downloading apps/games etc if you’re not sure, don’t do it. I have also found that with certain apps you don’t always receive the credits. Another downside is you have to collect what seems like a bajillion smiles for £2 but again it is free money so I’m thinking I’ll just keep plodding along with this one and see where I end up. At time of writing this post I have 9152 smiles and I need 6900 for £2 Paypal credit or 15900 for £5 Paypal credit. This isn’t going to help me get rich quick at all!

Matched Betting. I signed up with this but have yet to fully take a look around and try it out for myself however I know of a few bloggers who are doing really well from this. The idea is that you take advantage of free money offers from online bookmakers and place the required bets to be able to cash out bonuses. Profit Accumulator have a free trial and can guarantee you to make enough money to pay for your first months memberships. They have all the information you need and go through every step with you to help you make it a success!

Selling things you don’t need. I found myself having a little sort out of all those random items I have lying around that haven’t been used or even looked at for ages! I got them out, snapped some pics and listed them in various places. Sites like Ebay do charge for items you sell and a drawback is that you have to wait for your money until the buyer has received and approves of the item. This gives the buyer more protection and peace of mind but can be frustrating as a seller to wait weeks for your money. I now tend to list things on Gumtree or Shpock with varying degrees of success. You can even sell unwanted DVD’s on Music Magpie. Their app is so easy to use, you scan the barcode of the item you want to sell, it gives you an instant price and pops it in your basket. When you are ready you post them off and can receive a pay out the same day they receive your items.

Competitions. This may or may not make you rich quick but you may win a few handy things to save you having to buy them. Over the years I have managed to do quite well, new winter coats for me and my sister for example, by entering for and winning things I need. Have a read of my competition post to see how I do it!

Meal Planning. So technically this isn’t making me any money but I have found I have saved a fortune on food by simply looking at what I already have in my cupboards. I simply see what I can make, spread it across the days I need to make meals, eg, Olivia has dinner at her dads Thursdays and stays over Friday nights and all day Saturday so I only need to feed myself these days.

I know there are many other ways to earn money from home but for now these are the ones I have tried out this month. Nothing new I know but as I progress and try new things I will keep you updated! As always your hints and tips are much appreciated.

There are some good ideas here for making a little bit of money on the side, which is always nice 🙂 I often take part in YouGov surveys, I’ve tried a few other survey websites but didn’t think much of them.
