Adam Newman Fitness Review
This year so far for me has been a bit of a washout on the workout front. Thanks to various ailments and my dodgy back, it’s been more a stop-start journey with more stops than starts. But ever the trier, I haven’t given up and still keep plodding along. Last month an opportunity to take part in an Adam Newman Fitness Review came along. Could this help me get back into my routine again?
Soon after I found myself in the 6-week programme, Lean Ladies for my Adam Newman Fitness Review, aimed at ladies to get slowly back into working out with the aim of making good habits, both with exercise and with eating. All was going great for 3 weeks until one day I couldn’t get out bed without the most excruciating back at the bottom of my spine. This coupled with the symptoms I was already experiencing meant just walking, sitting and standing were pretty painful without adding in anything else.
This lasted for over 2 weeks until 1 day I decided I had had enough. I needed to work out and I felt ready. I did try some of the workouts from the programme, hoping to pick it back up again, but there was too much strain on my back so I begrudgingly had to admit defeat. Although I would love to follow the programme from start to finish one day, now is not that time.

Adam Newman Fitness Review: Lean Ladies.
With a wide range of exercises aimed at gradually improving your fitness levels. Week 1 starts with some easy to follow basics. I have to admit at first I did find them easy and wondered if they would be actually doing anything. It was, but not in the way I was thinking of initially. Rather than go straight in with the hard stuff, these simple and easy beginnings are getting your body ready for the harder workouts making you more prepared for when they come along.
But don’t fret if you are thinking I can’t even do the basics, neither can I! I hate push ups and my tummy gets in the way of many moves meaning I’m not quite as flexible as I should be. With this in mind Adam has modifications for certain movements to help you adjust should you not be at that stage yet. The aim is to build you up to form good habits and strengthen your body. If he went in all guns blazing on day 1, most people wouldn’t be able to keep up.
As I mentioned I only managed to do the first 3 weeks worth of workouts. In the first 2, I noticed some changes to my body and a 5lb weight loss. Achieved through healthy eating and the exercises combined. So going on this I would have expected some great results at the end of the 6 weeks had I been able to complete them all at once.
This programme is great for those who have worked out in the past and are looking to get back to it or as a follow on from Adam’s complete beginner’s programme to help you carry on with your journey.
