Olivia’s Review Round Up
This is my first review round up post for Olivia’s Corner. I have had lots of lovely items through to review this month and I’ve had lots of fun playing/using them all (mum: and making a mess with them) So I thought I would let you know what I have been loving this month in my review round up.
We got invited to the new Smiggle store in Liverpool and I was so excited I squealed. A lot. I love Smiggle and I now have some of their stuff at home and will be trying to talk my mum into buying me more, lots more.
My absolute favourite is the pencil case, it is so good with all it’s little bits that pop out and the calculator too. I use that all the time.
Colour Together Book.
We got this Colour Together colouring book for me and my mum to do together. She loves colouring in and the good thing is she is left handed and I’m right handed which is good for us colouring on the same book. The pictures in this book were so pretty and we really loved colouring in together. My mum said using felt tip pens to colour isn’t her thing and I could tell as she kept going out of the lines (shhh child) but she did like the book.
There is so much detail in all of the pictures, to colour in them all would take me a long time and keep me quiet which my mum would like (I sure would). What I liked most about it was that I could do it with my mum, together. We sat next to each colouring in, she finally used coloured pencils which made her happy, and we just chatted. It was so nice to have this book to help us do this together.
Note from Mum: This is such a lovely book, the pictures are so nice and easy to colour in, I preferred using pencils, and I did manage to stay in the lines too! Cheeky madam. But if you are looking for a book like this then I totally recommend this for children and adults alike. You can buy this book on Amazon for £9.98 currently (price correct at time of publishing)
I love stationary, I really do but I have never had any quite as nice as the pencils we received from Derwent. They are the best colour pencils I have ever used and I didn’t have to keep going over them to get a good colour at all! My mum will be posting a full review on these but I wanted to let you know how much I loved them. I think I’ve been spoilt now after using these.
Radox for Kids.
Even though I’m 10 now sometimes I still like to have characters on things. I use a Monster High toothbrush and various other things with my favourite characters on (mum: matching Jungle Book pj’s like mine!) So I thought this cute new range from Radox for kids, handwash, shampoo and conditioner and bath and shower wash, would be lovely to try out after all I am still a kid even though mum says I don’t act like one. We chose the Frozen range.
We have been using the handwash in the bathroom and my mum likes it and says it doesn’t dry her hands out at all. It’s a nice clear gel, no bright colours. My mum says the one with bright colours in at work makes her hands dry not like this Radox one. The bath and shower wash has been getting me clean this past week or so. It has a nice little smell to it too, not too strong and has a pink tint to it. I liked it. The shampoo and conditioner is something I don’t normally use and I’m not sure it made any difference to my hair but it may be good for younger kids I think.
Note From Mum: The Radox Frozen range is lovely. It seems to be great on skin and as someone with sensitive skin I didn’t notice any extra dryness to my skin of irritation. at all. While I don’t think the shampoo is suitable for Olivia’s hair it may be better suited to younger children/toddlers instead. Lastly the bath and shower wash. Olivia seemed to like and to be honest as long as it gets her clean that’s fine by me. With a Frozen range of Star Wars characters to choose from Radox have developed a range suitable for young and delicate skin that can help bathtime be more fun for both you and your kids. The Radox Kids Range is now available from Boots. Prices start at £1.80.
This is going to be a quick one but I loved the greeting card we got to review from Morse Toad. The chocolate was yummy and it was so fun to make and eat of course. My mum has written a full review of what we thought of it but I just wanted to mention it in here too. If you want to send something fun and different to someone this is totally what you need. Plus there is a competition and discount code too!
That’s it from me! I hope you enjoyed reading my review round up, make sure to come back to read all about how I got on performing in Romeo and Juliet for the Shakespeare Schools Festival a few weeks ago!
